Brandon Porsandeh, LCSW
About me
I am licensed in California with 7 years of clinical professional work experience. I specialize in working with those struggling with symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD); a condition in which many experience feelings of hopelessness yet are unaware that there are proven and effective treatments for this distressing and often disabling condition. I also have experience working with a variety of clients, including those struggling with stress, anxiety, depression and psychosis.
It is not always easy to acknowledge and face the fact that we need professional support to cope with mental health struggles. All too often there is a stigma associated with mental illness. Rather than viewing it like any other health condition, in which a person wouldn't hesitate to seek out treatment, mental health challenges are often viewed as a personal weakness and therefore many avoid professional help. It absolutely takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. I am here to support and empower you in that journey.

I had the privilege of experiencing the compassionate guidance and professional expertise from Brandon for the past 20 months and it was one of the best decisions I've made in my life for my mental health journey. From the moment I talked with Brandon, I could tell he was a very warm and kind person who could help me through this journey and I felt like I was in a safe space when I shared my inner self the whole time.
One of the greatest aspects of Brandon's approach is his ability to deeply listen and empathize. My trust and rapport with him flourished as therapy continued, fostering a therapeutic relationship built on mutual respect and collaboration. I am more confident and kind to myself after each therapy. He has a gift for opening eyes to positiveness and resilience, empowering me to navigate life's challenges with courage and hope.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Brandon to anyone seeking support on their journey toward healing and self-discovery. His combination of expertise, empathy, and genuine care will be such great help for anyone seeking help. I will return to him again if I need more help.
Thank you so much for everything you have done for me, Brandon!

Brandon has been an amazing therapist. He's an active listener with a good memory and high emotional intelligence which makes him the perfect therapist. He is also good at helping with pivotal life decisions. Ever since I started working with him, he has been changing the way I see myself and the people around me. The change in perspective has made all the difference in my confidence and self worth. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to learn and grow as a person with him. I truly believe his clients, friends, and family are all better people for knowing him. Not only does he craft well thought-out, thorough responses to any of my questions in between sessions, but he checks in to make sure I’m okay throughout the week. He’s just a gem of a human being. I’m just really grateful to have the opportunity to work with him and I would recommend him to anyone even though selfishly I’d rather not have to compete for time slots with you.

Brandon has been extremely responsive and supportive as I sought therapy for the first time. He is great at listening and finding mechanisms to help me help myself. It has been great to go through this experience with him.
