Elinor Taylor, BACP
About me
I work as an integrative therapeutic counsellor. This approach ensures that I focus on your needs adapting the therapy as required to meet those needs. My practice is largely person centered and psychodynamic which means the work is led by you the client and focused on the issues you present, providing empathy, unconditional positive regard for you and being congruent throughout. I also believe that our bodies can tell us a lot about unconscious feelings, and so I may bring mindfulness techniques into the practice if suitable.
I work with a wide variety of presenting problems such as stress, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, problems with sleeping, addictions, work related issues, relationship issues, self-esteem and loneliness, loss and bereavement, trauma and abuse, sexual problems, isolation, social anxiety to name a few.
It takes courage to seek out help and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Elinor Taylor. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Elinor is a wonderful therapist. From day 1 we got along great, and she offered nothing but compassion and professional guidance.
She remembers things i told her a few (or 10) sessions ago, and it really feels like she is investend in my story, instead of just asking basic questions.
We had many key moments where a simple question or sentence gave me the needed jump for a breaktrough, even if it was something i didn`t want to hear.
I never felt pressured to do anything i didn't want and always felt like i could have ended the therapy with not strings attached. Not that i wanted to :)
Elinor also has quite the reportoire of techniques up her sleeves and can switch seamlessly between different branches of therapy.
Overall, i couldn`t be happier about her being my therapist and i can't recommend her enough.

In only 2 months of working with Elinor, I feel like I have made a progress in how I feel daily. Her way of allowing me to feel my emotions in a safe and non judgemental manner makes me feel heard and seen. Her comments are always on point and make me wonder and work on my issues. She gives me assignments and explains stuff in a way that I can understand and work on it. She has a motherly presence where one feels safe to explore their emotions. I am really greatfull for her!

With Elinor I feel in good hands and taken care of very well. She understands your situation, listens and gives excellent advice or techniques which you can integrate into your daily life. I can clearly see the process within myself. It takes time but it is so worth it. Elinor is a great therapist. I feel like she knows what really matters in mental health: She guides you through your journey and you will not regret it to reach out to her / reach out for help.

I've been having sessions with Elinor for a few months now after life and stress just got on top of me. Elinor has been amazing in helping me get through the issues that brought me to this breaking point. We have gently explored my past and this has really helped me to see how some trauma from my childhood was still affecting me today and how I can work to get past it. It has been hard work but I'm so glad that I'm doing it. I've learnt so much about myself in the last few months. Elinor asks all the right questions and really challenges me, all without pressure or judgement. I'm so glad I was matched with Elinor.
