About me
My name is Christopher Henderson and I provide therapy for individual adults, children, adolescents, couples, families, and groups, treating a variety of therapeutic needs, including trauma, depression, anxiety, and the under lying causes of addiction. I attained my Master of Arts degree of in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Union Institute and University where I also received a post-master’s certification in Substance Abuse and Addiction Counseling.
My therapeutic orientation is integrative and holistic, person centered and collaborative, strength based and present focused. I utilize an empirically based, multi modal approach, incorporating cognitive, behavioral, EMDR, existential, and mindfulness-based modalities in treatment to help my clients move forward, overcome their challenges, and develop new skills and understanding. I utilize research, experience, diverse training, and intuition, integrating an array of effective therapeutic interventions that will yield optimum results, tailored for the individual and the issues presented.
As a clinician, I believe that meeting you where you are, and building a strong therapeutic relationship, is the most powerful way to help you achieve change. As your therapist, I will work with you is to develop an individualized therapy process to help you move towards your personal goals however great or small.
