Teresa Noah, LMHP
About me
Hi there. My name is Teresa Noah and I am a licensed mental health and substance use counselor. I have 10 years of experience working with individuals from a variety of different backgrounds and life experiences. Through my experiences, both professional and personal, I have developed the following beliefs. First, and what I believe to be most important, is that I do not believe people are "broken". I believe people are amazing, resilient, unique souls who have an incredible capacity for healing and change. I believe we are significantly impacted by our experiences, both past and present, oftentimes in ways that are completely outside of our awareness. These experiences shape our beliefs about ourselves and the world, which then are transferred and reinforced within our relationships. These relationships certainly include our relationship with ourselves, our family, friends, and community. However, these relationships also include our relationship towards work, alcohol, drugs, food, sex, money, to provide a few examples. My goal is to listen to better understand your personal story. Through this understanding, I will help you identify your beliefs and patterns that are impacting your personal level of happiness and satisfaction with life. It is through the process of gaining awareness that we become empowered to create the meaningful change we are so desperately seeking. I am so very excited to begin this journey with you.

Teresa is patient, kind, and excellent at listening . I appreciate her willingness to listen to my thoughts and help me work through my feelings. She is so respectful of my difficult situation, and is making such a difference in my ability to set boundaries. I’ve never once felt uncomfortable with Teresa! This is my first therapy experience and she made our video chat feel welcoming with no pressure or awkwardness. I could not recommend her more; this world is a better experience place with her in it.

Teresa is far better than I would have expected from anyone. I struggled to find a therapist that was a good fit for a while and thought I had one that got away when she decided to move off platform but shortly after, I found Teresa and we've made more progress than I thought was possible honestly. She's better than the one that got away. Teresa is so well versed in the innerworkings of the brain, she discovered thing about me I hadn't realized my entire life. I can't recommend her enough. She's spectacular.
