I am a licensed mental health and addiction therapist in with over 10 years of experience in the field. I graduated from Creighton University in 2008 with a Master's degree in Community Counseling. I have worked with all ages in clinic setting and private practice on various issues including substance abuse, anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship issues, grief, parenting struggles, stress management, and poor impulse control. In addition, I am also trained as a certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
My therapeutic style is based on being genuine and understanding with clients. I believe it is essential to actively listen and effectively problem solve with my clients. My therapeutic foundation is a mix of cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and rational-emotive theories. There are so many benefits from seeking out therapy. I worked with Sarah for some months last year, while struggling a lot with depression, relationship issues and my self esteem. It was a really difficult time in my life, but I must say that Sarah really helped me a lot. Sara is a patient, empathetic and kind listener. She makes you feel understood, and validated, while gently coercing you to look at your troubles differently. Her work ethic and commitment to her patients is admirable. She takes out time, is punctual and readily available. Even despite a huge time distance between us, she found ways to make it work incredibly efficiently. It was my first time seeking therapy, and Sara walked me through the process and could understand my issues despite our cultural differences. I think Sara is a wonderful therapist, and I recommend her strongly to any young adult.

Sara is a compassionate non-judgmental counsellor and a great mentor. She has supported me through some very difficult times, and although I still have tough days, I now have the insight to challenge my thoughts and beliefs .
There are also homework tasks to complete which further reinforce the support and challenged my limited perceptions of events in my life. Messages check-ins are also wonderful because you always have someone there to talk to.
Please don't be put off by the cost because if you have limited finances you can still get the help you need within your budget.
I didn't want to or feel I had the option to wait a further 6 months to speak to a counsellor through the NHS. I took action and I haven't regretted
If you're struggling, please reach out and use this invaluable resource. Everyone deserves good mental health and happiness. Don't feel embarrassed or ashamed this will definitely help stir you in the right direction.

It's not too strong to say that Sara has changed my life. She immediately understood what my difficulties were (even if I didn't understand them) and has provided practical help as well as been a supportive ear. I honestly don't know where I would have been without her.

When I would have sessions with Sara, she didn't judge and always understood how I was feeling. From the beginning she would respond to me quickly and was always making sure how my day was. My initial idea of therapy was just someone who listens to you, because the world is full of isolated people. Working with Sara has been making all the difference for me as of late. I had a different counselor before Sara, but I wasn't able to connect with her as quickly as I did with Sara. Sara really makes a genuine effort to completely understand your problem well. There's absolutely no suggestions and interventions in the beginning, when you are venting out your concerns with her. She makes sure that she understands your emotions well before she can help you see the future positively. I had been struggling with depression for almost one year. But within a few weeks, Sara was able to help me see through my worries and guilt and gave me a positive outlook to life. She is a miracle worker! Just go ahead and sign her as your therapist, you'll be just fine!
