About me

My name is Mildred Spann, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Wisconsin that has been working as a Mental Health Provider for 14 years. I have experience working with clients who struggle with Anxiety, Depression, relationship issues, anger management, trauma, grief issues and issues related to homelessness.

My counseling style is to provide a safe environment where you feel comfortable sharing your story and experiences. I treat my clients with respect, dignity and compassion. I strongly believe in being empathetic and non-judgmental. I utilize mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT). I also provide grief counseling.

I strongly believe Therapy is a partnership between the therapist and client. I work together with clients to formulate a treatment plan that meets their needs. My goal for the clients I work with is to leave them with a tool that they can put in their tool box that is readily accessible when they are faced with a challenging situation or problem.

It takes a great deal of courage to seek professional help and even more courage to implement change. However, if you are ready to take the next steps to begin living a more fulfilling and self-empowered life style I would love to help guide you along the way.

I look forward to working with you.

Thank You!

Mildred is such a good listener. She also can help put a smile on your face and help you see the positive things. I really appreciate her listening and asking questions to clarify and not assuming.

I feel Mildred is a very good fit for me. I really don't like bringing up my past but if I am to move forward I will need Mildred's help.
